Montana Prevention Resource Center.  Provide Resources for Montana Communities through
  • The Website - Provides information about Prevention in Montana through the
    weekly Hot News, Data and Statistics, Informative links, and the Training
    Calendar.
  • The Prevention Connection - A Quarterly News letter that discusses Prevention
    Practices, Best practices and Science based practices geared toward the state
    of Montana. The Newsletter is sent out to keep professionals around the state
    up-to-date on current state procedures.

- National and International Links -

  • Alcohol History Database
  • Beer Soaks America.  A response to beer industry propaganda by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.
  • Virtual Library of topics related to substance abuse. The site includes links to
    more than 1000 papers, reports, books etc., mostly research-based documents
    intended for professionals. The main topics are: use, harmful consequences,
    motives for use, policy, and treatment.

- Recovery Groups -

  • Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) Bozeman Meeting Schedule.
  • SOS.  Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS) was founded as a self-help alternative for people with addictions who are uncomfortable with the religious dimensions of Alcoholics Anonymous.  It celebrated its 20th anniversary in August of 2005.
  • White Bison. The Center for the Wellbriety Movement.  White Bison, Inc., is an
    American Indian non profit organization offering sobriety, recovery, addictions
    prevention, and wellness/Wellbriety learning resources to the Native American
    community nation wide.

- University-based Projects -

  • Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and Addiction.  Located at the
    University of New Mexico, this award winning program works to generate,
    convey, and apply knowledge to reduce suffering related to addictions and
    improve the quality of life for those affected by addiction.
